Nature Explore Classroom Ribbon Cutting
Transition House is one of nine domestic violence agencies in the US to receive the extraordinary gift of a Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom from the Mary Kay Foundation. The newly installed play structures, musical instruments, raised beds and landscaped garden create an amazing learning and healing space for children and adults. It's a fantastic addition to Transition House that will be used and loved by many people now and in the future. We can't thank Mary Kay enough for bringing this project to life in record time. A host of community leaders and representatives from Mary Kay cut the ribbon together on November 18th.

Green Door Campaign Kickoff Fundraiser
Thank you to everyone who attended our Green Door Campaign Kickoff in the historic Athenaeum Building in Kendall Square, generously hosted by lead corporate sponsor Alexandria Real Estate Equities with campaign sponsors including New Generation Energy, and project partner, Mostue Associates Architects.
We honored Middlesex County District Attorney Gerald Leone with the Open Door Award for his dedication to sustaining justice and healthy communities and eradicating domestic violence. District Attorney Leone joined Board Chair Risa Mednick and a Transition House client in speaking passionately about Transition House’s work and the Green Door Campaign.
The goal of the Green Door Campaign is to raise funds to sustain Transition House’s vital services and to "green" our Emergency Shelter. Guests had the opportunity to preview Transition House's innovative green shelter renovation plans and learn first hand about the dynamic programs our organization delivers.
