Transition House is undergoing a $1M Shelter Renovation. You can read about the work in the Cambridge Chronicle.
Transition House began as a shelter for battered women and their children, and we are proud to continue that tradition with our emergency shelter. In addition, Transition House offers several long-term housing programs for individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence.
Our commitment to the individuals and families that we serve is to provide safety and stability while encouraging self-exploration, professional skill-building and personal growth, leading to emotional well-being, self-reliance and full membership in the larger community.
Over the last seven years, we have been very successful in assisting residents to become self-reliant, and to live independently within their new communities. This success is the result of the courage and determination of our residents, along with the commitment and dedication of our staff. It is a partnership.
